Season is a 10-game league (January - October)
Membership required to be part of the league

Tournament Director reserves the right to refuse any player to games if they fail to follow the established rules and etiquette. All new players must be approved by the Tournament Director.

All money referenced below is PLAY MONEY.
League Overview
-
Each game requires a minimum of 12 players to have the event.
-
Event sells out at 30 players. Additional 5 points added to TOC score for any sell out game.
-
No food or beverage is provided as part of league games. Each member is responsible for bringing their own. The TOC does have food and drinks included.
-
Registration for all events occurs online on this website. Registration opens the day after the previous game. Registration closes at 3pm on the day of the event.
-
If you need to cancel your seat, do so online. If registration is closed, contact director before the start of the game. IF YOU FAIL TO CANCEL AND NO SHOW, you will no longer be able to register for future games without PREPAYING YOUR ENTRY FEE.
Scoreboard Points
-
For each game, you receive points based on when you get knocked out. First person knocked out receives 1 point. Second person knocked out receives 2 points, and so on.
-
In the event we have a sell out, an additional 5 points is added to each player (so first out, receives 6 points, and so on).
-
Points are accumulating over the season. These points are used to determine provisional qualifiers at the TOC, as well as setting minimum threshold for automatic qualifiers. (See TOC Qualification for further details).
Player of the Year Points
-
For each game played, you receive a calculated Player of the Year (POTY) score. The calculation is based on the position you are knocked out, did you cash in the tournament, and how many rebuys did you have.
-
The top score for POTY receives a $500 Award at the end of the season along with a plaque.
-
The TOC Event also is used as part of the calculation.
-
You can find details for the POTY Calculation HERE.
Tournament of Champions Qualification
-
You are INVITED to the TOC based on the following:
-
If you win a regular season event, you are an AUTOMATIC QUALIFIER, as long as you exceed the minimum threshold.
-
The top 6 TOC Points scores that haven't already won a regular season event, you are a PROVISIONAL QUALIFER.
-
On the day of the TOC, if you haven't been invited based on the above, and have played in a least 2 regular season games, you can play in the satellite game to win a seat to the TOC. Refer to the satellite game rules for details.
-
-
In the situation where a player wins more than 1 game during the season, we will extend the PROVISIONAL QUALIFER an additional player. (Example, if someone win's 2 games in the season, that would be 9 players that are automatic qualifier, and then top 7 TOC scores would be the provisional) - always resulting in 16 players being invited to the TOC.
-
Automatic Qualifier Threshold -- Once the season is complete, a TOC point minimum threshold is set. All automatic qualifiers (winners of a season game) must meet the minimum threshold in TOC points or their automatic seat is given to the next provisional qualifier. Threshold is determined as follows: Take the TOC points of the last provisional qualifier and divide by 2 (round down). That is now the minimum threshold in TOC points that must be met to be an automatic qualifier.
Bounty Player
-
A bounty is placed on the previous month's regular season event winner.
-
If you knock out the bounty player, you will receive the bounty money for that knock out.
-
The bounty amount is funded at $5/player from the previous month's game.
-
If the bounty player ends up winning the tournament, they receive their bounty money, and a new bounty is placed on them next month.
-
Game 1 does NOT have a bounty player.
-
At the TOC, a bounty is placed on ALL AUTOMATIC qualifiers at $50/player. In the event, we have a repeat regular season winner, they will receive $50 bounty for each repeat game they won during the regular season.
-
Knocked out is defined as a player that is eliminated from the tournament. If they lose their chips and elect to rebuy (while rebuy option is still available), they are not eliminated.
Jackpot Hand
-
For the regular season games, a JACKPOT hand is assigned. If you get that hand during the tournament, you will win the Jackpot Money.
-
The Jackpot Hand is a random draw of a card prior to the start of the tournament. That card will be the jackpot hand for the tournament as QUADS. (i.e. The Queen is pulled, so the Jackpot Hand will be quad Queens).
-
If the Jackpot Hand isn't won, the money is rolled over to the next month and continues to grow until it is hit. A new card is drawn each game.
-
After 5 consecutive games where the Jackpot hand isn't won, every game after that will have 2 cards drawn, making 2 quad Jackpot Hands available.
-
Once a jackpot hand is hit, it is paid out, only 1 person can win the jackpot hand in a game.
-
The Jackpot Money is pulled from the entry fees at a rate of $10/player minus $50 which covers the host.
-
Jackpot Hand MUST USE both hole cards as part of the quads. So if the jackpot hands is quad 8's, the player must hold a pair of 8's in the hole to qualify.
-
At the end of the season, any funds left in this Jackpot will be added to the Best Hand of the Night at the TOC Main Event (Capped at $1000 - money above $1000 is added to the TOC prize pool)
Hosting an Event
-
If you sign up to host an event, you will receive $50 for hosting. This money is funded from entries of players.
-
All of the equipment to run the tournament is supplied by league. Your location should be able to handle upto 3 tables and 30 players comfortably.
-
The actual running of the tournament will still be managed by the Tournament Director, you are simply providing a location for the event. No food or drink should be provided. Players supply their own.
-
If you host, we ask that you assist in the transportation of equipment (tables and chairs).
Blind Structure
-
See below for blind structure. All rounds last 16 minutes. We will have a 10 minute break at the end of each level, which is 5 rounds of play.
-
Ante's start at round 6. The Ante is equal to the big blind, and the Big Blind player posts the ante (dead money in pot), regardless of the number of players at the table (see exception).
-
In the event, the BB player doesn't have enough money to cover both the Big Blind and Ante, they first fund the Big Blind, and the remaining amount is then posted as the Ante. (i.e. Player has $1200 remaining and blinds are $500/$1000 - Player posts $1000 in BB and $200 for ante, resulting in an All In for that player)
-
Ante Exceptions - Once we are down to # of players that are IN THE MONEY, Ante's will no longer be paid.

-
Qualification - both of your hole cards must be used as part of the Best Hand (it can include a kicker). The hand doesn't actually need to win the pot. You do NOT need to goto the river to qualify.
RPL Ediquette
-
If a player is seated before action is to him, his cards are in play. Only fold cards of a player once action comes to the player and he isn't seated.
-
The player BEHIND the dealer will shuffle cards for the next hand dealt.
-
If you have at least 1 chip prior to posting, you are in the hand.
-
If you are not in the hand, you should not discuss the cards in play, your folded cards, or announce what is displayed on the table.
-
A raise needs to be a minimum of 2x the Blind. After the flop, the initial bet can be anything above the big blind.
-
A single chip is considered A CALL unless you announcement an amount.
-
Tables will remain balanced. If they become unbalanced, a player will be moved from one table to another and remain in the same position they were in prior to the move. So if we need to fill the Big Blind seat, the BB seat from another table will be moved to that seat - giving no advantage or disadvantaged to the moved player.
-
Each tournament must be played to completion. Deals on money can be had, but you can not make a deal on who wins the tournament for TOC Qualification purposes.
-
In the case where multiple players are knocked out at the same time, the order of knockout is determined based on how many chips they had before going all in.
-
As we host at our members homes, please make an effort to keep the place clean, and at the end of the night, please pitch in to clean up the locatino and put the house back in the same position it was when you got there.
-
This is a FUN LEAGUE. Objective is to enjoy the evening. All work that makes this league possible is a volunteer effort. No one is being paid for their services (including the tournament director). All funds collected throughout the season is paid completely out.
